The Elephant Room LTD

Effective August 13, 2026

This policy explains what information The Elephant Room LTD ("Elephant Room," "we," "us") collects through theelephantroomltd.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are. The Elephant Room LTD is a South Carolina limited liability company. You can reach us at info@theelephantroomltd.com.

What we collect.

Indie Hollywood. Guest progress and music preferences stay in your browser. We also record game opens, starts and chapter-completion events to understand use and improve the experience. These event records contain the milestone, free or full-game route, and time; they do not contain your email, access code, story choices or run identifier. They are counts of activity, not verified unique people. Private access uses a personal access link and a secure browser cookie. We store the approved tester email, access expiry, and saved progress. Tester access lasts 30 days unless renewed. Future purchases will store payment references and the email supplied at checkout; card details are handled by the payment provider. Existing account-based progress is retained. Contact us below to request deletion. Access emails are not automatically enrolled in marketing.

Tester access requests. We store your name, email address, optional filmmaking experience, request status, and request and decision dates to review and manage access. A necessary browser cookie lets you check approval and enter after approval. Access secrets are stored as hashes. We may store a daily hash derived from your network address to limit repeated submissions. Requesting access does not subscribe you to marketing and does not automatically send an email. Contact us below to request correction or deletion.

Information you give us. If you fill out a form on this site or email us, we receive what you send — typically your name, email address, company or organization, project information, service interests, goals, project stage, timing, budget range, availability of publicity materials, links you choose to share, and whatever you write in the message. If you join an interest list for a program or class, we also receive the answers you select on that form. If you join The Color of Us Reader Circle, we record your name, email address, consent and subscription status, signup date, and limited referral details that tell us which book link or campaign brought you to the form.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This is standard server activity used to operate and secure the site. We also record limited first-party form events—such as when an inquiry form is viewed, started, or successfully submitted—so we can understand whether the inquiry experience is working. Those event records do not contain the answers entered in the form.

How we use it. We use what you give us to review fit, recommend a project or campaign scope, answer your inquiry, track the business conversation internally, send you the information you asked for, and — if you asked to hear about a program — to send you details about that program. Reader Circle information is used to deliver the promised book-to-screen updates, reader materials, production milestones, and invitations, and to understand which outreach brings readers to the project. We use automatic information to keep the site working and secure.

We do not sell your information. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers for their own marketing.

Who else touches it. Service providers that help us run the site and communicate with you — our website host and the service that delivers messages you send us — process information on our behalf. They are permitted to use it only to provide those services.

Our commercial portfolio displays video hosted by YouTube. When a page with video loads, YouTube's servers deliver the thumbnail images, which means Google receives your IP address and basic browser information. If you play a video, it opens in YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which limits personalized advertising but still allows YouTube to receive information about your playback and to set or read identifiers during playback. That activity is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Email. If you join a list, every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect promptly. You can also email info@theelephantroomltd.com and ask to be removed.

Cookies. We use only the cookies necessary for this site to function.

YouTube may set or read its own identifiers when you play an embedded video, as described above. That is Google's technology operating under Google's policies. If you would rather not have YouTube receive anything from you, do not play the embedded videos, or block third-party cookies in your browser.

How long we keep it. We keep inquiries and list subscriptions until you ask us to delete them or until they are no longer needed for the purpose you gave them to us.

Your choices. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@theelephantroomltd.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national law; we will honor those rights where they apply.

Children. This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to other sites. This site links to other websites we do not control, including sites operated by other organizations Demetris Jones is involved with. Their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies.

Changes. If we change this policy we will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
